Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
This policy explains what The Peptides Source LLC collects when you use thepeptidesourcellc.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
You can reach us at [email protected] or by mail at 1045 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach, CA 90813.
2. Information You Give Us
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Order details: shipping address, order contents, order notes, and payment method selected. We never see or store your full card number. Payment processors handle that directly.
- Verification details: your confirmation that you are 21 or older and that products are for research use only, recorded with the date, IP address, and browser so we have a record of it.
- Anything you send us: emails, contact form messages, and support requests.
- Marketing preferences: whether you opted in to email or text messages, and when.
3. Information Collected Automatically
- Pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, and the site or ad you arrived from.
- Device type, browser, and operating system.
- Your IP address. We store it as a one-way hash for analytics, not in readable form. We do keep the readable IP on specific records where it is the point of the record, such as your age and research-use acknowledgment and your terms acceptance.
- Cookies and similar storage, described in section 5.
4. Advertising and How We Measure It
If you arrive from an advertisement, an email, or a text message, the link may carry tags identifying the campaign. We create a random identifier for that visit, store it in a cookie on your device, and keep a matching record on our servers so we can tell which campaign brought you here.
If you later create an account, we connect that identifier to your account, and we record it on orders you place. This is how we measure whether our advertising works. It is our own system, running on our own servers, and the information stays with us.
We also use advertising platform tools, currently the Meta Conversions API, which sends measurement events from our servers rather than from your browser, to measure and improve advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Where information is shared with an advertising platform for measurement, identifying details such as your email address or phone number are cryptographically hashed before they are sent. We do not sell your personal information.
You can limit this by using your browser's cookie controls, by using your device's advertising settings, or by contacting us and asking us to stop associating your account with advertising measurement.
5. Cookies
- Necessary: your login session, your cart, security tokens, and the site's remember-me function. The site does not work without these.
- Preference: your light or dark theme choice and your age confirmation, so you are not asked on every page.
- Measurement: a randomly generated campaign identifier as described in section 4, kept for up to 90 days.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones will stop you from logging in or checking out.
6. How We Use Information
- To take, ship, and support your orders.
- To maintain your account and keep it secure.
- To send order updates by email and, if you opted in, by text message.
- To send marketing you agreed to receive, which you can stop at any time.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To measure how well our site and our advertising perform.
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations.
7. Who We Share It With
We share only what a provider needs to do its job for us, and only with providers who are contractually required to protect it:
- Payment processors, to take payment.
- Shipping and fulfillment providers, to deliver your order.
- Email and text message providers, to send the messages you asked for.
- Hosting, security, and analytics providers, to run the site.
- Advertising platforms, for measurement, in hashed form as described in section 4.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's independent advertising.
7.1 The Providers We Use
These are the companies that currently receive customer information from us, and what each one gets:
- KURV, NMI, LinkMoney and Stripe (payment processing): your name, billing details, order amount, and the card or bank details you enter on their secure forms. We do not store full card or bank account numbers.
- Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Apple Pay and Bitcoin (manual payments you send yourself): these services handle your payment under their own terms; we see only what shows on the payment you send us.
- ShipStation and shipping carriers (fulfillment): your name, shipping address, phone number and the items in your order.
- Smarty (address verification): the shipping address you type, to check that it is deliverable.
- SendGrid (email): your name and email address, to send order, account and marketing emails you signed up for.
- Telnyx (text messages): your mobile number and the message text, to deliver texts you opted in to.
- Meta (advertising measurement): hashed identifiers as described in section 4.
- Our web host and security providers: all site data, stored on their servers so the site can run.
8. Text Messages
If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive messages at the number you gave us. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Your mobile information is never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing.
Replying STOP to any text message from us ends your text subscription. We keep a record of each opt-in (the number, the date and time, the page it came from, and the exact wording of the consent you agreed to), and we keep that record after you opt out, because it is the proof that the messages you received were ones you asked for.
9. How Long We Keep It
Account and order records are kept for as long as your account is open and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep business and tax records. Age and research-use acknowledgments are kept as a compliance record. Analytics records are kept in a reduced form. Campaign identifiers expire after 90 days on your device.
Uploaded files. If you upload a file to us, such as a screenshot or photo proving a payment, we keep it with your order record for the same period as the order itself, because it is part of our payment and tax records. It is stored in a private area of our server that is not publicly viewable, and only our staff can open it. You can ask us about a file you uploaded by emailing the address in section 14.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Email [email protected] and we will respond within the time the law allows.
If you live in California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense that law defines. Use the same email address to make a request.
Unsubscribe links appear in every marketing email. Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
11. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored hashed and are never readable by us. Access to customer records is restricted to accounts that need it. No system is perfect, so we also keep audit logs and monitor for unusual activity.
12. Children
This site is intended for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to account holders by email.
